The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is pleased to announce the 47th edition of her Nigeria Annual International Conference and Exhibition (NAICE), scheduled to hold from August 5-7, 2024 at Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.

NAICE is Africa’s foremost energy industry event and focuses on policy discussions, innovative application of technology, processes and industry best practices, new products and operational excellence to maximize value from hydrocarbon assets. NAICE attracts industry regulators, high level government officials, energy industry professionals at all levels and other key oil and gas industry stakeholders.

The theme for NAICE 2024 is “Petroleum Industry Value Chain Optimization: The Inevitability of Midstream and Downstream Developmentand key highlights of the event will include Technical Sessions, Panel Sessions, Exhibition, Topical Issues Workshop, Women Leadership Programme, Luncheons/Industry Dinners and Awards, Young Professionals Workshop and Pre-Conference Regional Section Officers Workshop and Short Courses.

The Technical Papers Committee of NAICE would like to inform you of an upcoming policy change for SPE technical publications (conference papers and peer-reviewed journals).

This information has been circulated by the SPEi office. 

Starting 1 January 2023, the SPE Board has stipulated that all authors and coauthors for SPE conferences and journal articles must have an associated ORCID ID before publication.

The ORCID ID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is one of scholarly publishing’s most accepted and widely used unique author identifiers. It is used across numerous publishers.
